Derek Waters, President

Derek has a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. Derek began his oilfield career in 2004 with Nalco Chemical Company as a Service Technician. In March 2006, Derek and Todd Latham purchased 100% of the stock of Chem Tech Services, Inc. from the previous owners. As President of Chem Tech Services, Inc. Derek has encountered a wide array of responsibilities as the corporation has expanded since 2006. Derek and Todd sold 50% of their ownership in Chem Tech in 2012 to Darren Waters and Jimmy Payton and retained 25% each.

Darren Waters, Co-Owner/Vice-President

Darren has a Master Degree of Environmental Engineering from Texas Tech University. Darren is a licensed professional engineer and practiced civil and environmental engineering for 8 years. Darren began his oilfield experience in 2004 and worked for Nalco Chemical Company for 8 years. Darren’s career at Nalco began as an account representative and progressed into sales management in the Permian Basin, Barnett Shale, and Haynesville Shale. In April 2012, Darren joined Chem Tech Services as Co-Owner/Vice-President.

Jimmy Payton, Co-Owner/Vice-President

Jimmy has a Master Degree from Texas Tech University. Jimmy began his career in oilfield chemicals in 1997. Jimmy spent 15 years with Nalco Chemical Company where he experienced a wide range of applications from water floods, CO2 floods, and gas shale plays. Jimmy’s career at Nalco began as an account manager and ended as a Regional Sales Manager responsible for sales management over a large portion of the United States. In April 2012, Jimmy joined Chem Tech Services as Co-Owner/Vice-President.

Todd Latham, Co-Owner

Todd has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University. Todd began his career in oilfield chemicals in 1997. Todd spent 8 years with Nalco Chemical Company as an account manager where he experienced a wide range of applications from water floods and CO2 floods. Todd and Derek Waters purchased 100% of the stock of Chem Tech Services, Inc. from the previous owners in March 2006. As Vice President and Secretary of Chem Tech Services, Inc. Todd has also encountered many challenges as the corporation has expanded since 2006. Todd and Derek sold 50% of their ownership in Chem Tech in 2012 to Darren Waters and Jimmy Payton and retained 25% each.
